I actually heard the contrary on the issue of the signed bootloader. I had heard Motorola had basically given up trying to stop us, and realized that it was a selling point to have an unsinged bootloader.

As far as apps, I'm on 2.2, was able to install the Music.apk, and can corroborate to the EQ in there. However, I get FCs whenever it tries to go to the now playing screen.

i hope you're 100% correct about the bootloader, but do you have a source for what you heard?

Whether the bootloader is signed or not, this could be a sign of what's to come from Motorola and other companies in the future. Hopefully it's the latter.

You see that HTC has sent out cease and desist orders to some sites hosting Custom ROMs for the Incredible and EVO. I would hate to see this happen from other manufactures, especially when Google openly supports the "hacking" community of Android OS.

You know, there are so many blogs, I really don't know which one I saw that on, and I can't seem to find it, now that I'm actually looking for it, lol. Then again, I also heard adamant statements that the Droid X isn't running MotoBlur of any form, and yet the system dump has all kinds of blur references, so who knows how accurate any of the information we are getting right now is.

Anybody have any idea how to speed up the bootanimation? im reunning the droidx bootanimation on my droid, it seems slow tho, and jerky.

i figured this was coming. they left the droid unlocked to let the community hammer out fixes, hopefully the droid2 will remain unlocked, but it wouldnt surprise me if they were all locked tighter from here on out.
