Interesting, but the pictures are too low resolution to be of much use.

What we really need is some nice clear macro shots of the various boards and chips.

I am curious about what's attached to the top left of the screen opposite the led.

I have a 5MP shot of it, its just imageshack makes it smaller. Ill try to upload full resolution. As for the left, i think the left side is just like the iphone from what i can tell, thats where the sensors are for light to see if the phone is up to your face or not. But then if thats that, then the right side has it too so im not sure.

The light sensor is on the right next to the notification LED; I'm trying to figure out what's to the left of the speaker, too hard to tell from those pictures but it could be IrDA.

ill get you a better pic in a few minutes, as for ralph, lol after you take the screws off, on top left there is some sticky tape u need to take off, then unplug one of the connectors there so you can then stick a flathead on top left corner there is a insert, you lift up from there the lcd comes up

Proximity sensor, used to automatically turn off the screen while in a call -- try holding the phone away from you and moving your finger near that corner.
