Really, as others said, just dont let him have a droid. In all honesty, if hes watching it on his phone, probably will just start watching on his computer. Sell the droid on ebay, keep it for yourself, w/e

Just let him do it. It's completely normal anyways

Thats more an ethical debate than anything, but if u say that, he would have to say the same for other things such as drinking or sex. Its his (the teenager) parent's responsibility to determine what they believe is right and wrong and enforce it in their own way. Even though I totally agree its natural, many people do it, and I support the movement, I believe parents have the right to tell the children not to, and to prevent them from doing so. Also it is illegal in some states, depending on the age

Re: Can you remove the market app?

If he's anything like I was 15 years ago he'll get past it. My parents tried to put parental controls on my aol account so I installed a keylogger, got my dad's password, and removed the restrictions :-D nothing will stop a teenage boy. As far as the Droid : give it to someone who will use it to its full potential.

Just as a random statement, if he has the stock charger all he has to do is hook it in his pc and he has total access. All he has to do is reload or put his own custom rom in... As a fellow teen i can say that most kids these days out do their parents in electronics... Even if you rooted the phone, id say he'll be able to fiqure out all the stuff in a jiffy. (expecially with all these simple walk throughs) Id fiqure it out just to spite my dad, And if your removing vending.apk then that means your phones already rooted thus making it easier for him to fix. Instead of removing the browswer and market, i would suggest Unrooting your phone (thats probly the hardest/longest process that hed have to do to bypass you) I believe their is a program called applock or something along the lines that lets you lock individual apps. Just lock The Settings, browser, market and other programs that let you access the unistall or ending of programs(astro or taskiller) Also beware of the factory reset feature lol. Through all of this id say take the phone away though(remove the temptation), (their are many ways to skin a deer=many ways of bypassing the removal of vending.apk &browser.apk) If i had that phone i could have it back in like 2min, expecially with a rooted phone. (you could always get him a *just wall charger($30) while keeping him away from your usb charger, but remember your phone is rooted all hed have to do is go into recovery manager and reset.... ) lol, every time i think about this im thinking on several ways i could bypass this. JUST TAKE IT AWAY! Also envy has Internet too, You have to buy a data package with the phone*thats what id have gotten if it wernt for the forced data charge......(i dont think hacking into envy firmware is popular so not sure how youd disable this...) Just talk with him about it and tell him not to abuse the freedom of having a phone, if he abuses it take it away, SIMPLE. *worked on me, Im not big on looking at "inapriate content" on phone though- thats what a girlfriend is for :P
