Below i have what system im running and the result of what happened when i typed it in the terminal em. but nothing changed... i cant more anything else into the SD card... ??
Will this work on an app that traditionally isn't meant to be on the sd card? Meaning an app that when I go into settings an applications an it doesn't allow me to transfer to sd, using this command would allow me to transfer to sd?
I'm on rooted milestone 2.2. All goes fine after i change it to 2, reboot the phone, but when i press "Move to SD" button, it gives me "Failed to move application" message on all installed software. I have tried like 3 or 4 sdcards last nigh, read through tens of pages here and on xda ... swithced couple of times between modes 0,1,2 ... Still same thing ... SD FS is FAT/FAT32 mainly, also tried one with EXT2 partition... same thing..
Btw, when its set on 2 even the market software would fail to install =\
works great thanks
Some of that is controlled by the developers; there's apparently a way they can "lock" the app so you can't move them to the SD card, because on some of mine the option wasn't available. Apps that they didn't lock you can move, but you may run into issues as was mentioned earlier, like widgets won't run, etc. I also found some streaming videos like FOXNews didn't work worth squat until I put them back on internal memory. Also, anything that runs in the notification bar like WeatherBug or SetCPU need to be in internal memory.
works like a charm
Do i need to do this on Bugless Beast v5 or can i just run the Script that comes with it? I'm assuming the script does the same thing?
Also -- if a native app updates (like Gmail) - will it move it to the SD card and cause it to function improperly?
+1000 thank you for sharing this
