    Market won't give my Notifications

    1. Had stock 2.1
    2. Backed up apps with Astro
    3. Rooted
    4. Reinstalled apps.

    Since that time, my Market will not give me notifications about updated apps. If I go to the market and check downloads, it will show the apps. But it doesn't give me any notifications to say 'hey, there's a new version of this or that.'

    Is that because of root? Or because I installed the majority of my apps from the Astro backups?

    It's because you backed them up with Astro. But if you can update them after the first time you update each app it should start giving your notifications again.

    I'm not rooted and got the 2.1 update OTA and I rarely get a notification on an update.
