i might try working on it if someone can let me know what file type th image has to be cause it really isnt that hard to replace pictures

Boot animations are made from a series of PNGs. The best thing for you to do is to download a bootanimation.zip file, extract the contents and see how the files are named, set up, and you'll get a good understand for what size images, the resolution needed, how it loops, etc.

Personally if someone does something like this, I think it'd be cool for it to be the first Ironman movie style, where it fades in from black, and then loops between glowing as a bright circle and dimming to see the windings of the coils on the reactor.

If someone can get me a REALLY good picture to use I would make a boot animation with it.
I searched the net for a pic and only found copycat stuff and homemade arc reactors.
High quality pic, preferrably above 400x400

I can't find a good one online, either. Probably copyright stuff going on there. I don't know where my Ironman DVD is right now, but if I can find it I can probably screen cap some head-on shots of the reactor.

Annoyingly, it's like they made a point to NEVER look right at the arc reactor until the final scene when it's been damaged. I captured these from the regular DVD, I suppose if someone had Blu-Ray it'd be clearer.

They're not right on but there's a few angles, maybe you can work with that?

Set 2. The last one is the only straight on view, and that's right after the explosion of Stark Industries' arc reactor at the end.

It may be okay to use some of the fake ones people have made, at least in those you can properly see the copper windings of the electromagnet.
