Question about bringing rooted(droidmod) phone into verizon

So my lock button on my droid broke and the button is stuck in. I need to bring my phone into verizon and I guess I'm going to have to get a new phone. I'm running droidmod 1.0. Now do I just click the stock option(no root) under droid mod updater? Will that bring me back to a stock like phone and be okay for verizon to look at it?

okay yeah it worked. Should I uninstall droidmod and metamorph? I doubt most techs will know those are rooted only apps but I could say I just downloaded them to check them out correct? And when I get my new phone, all the apps I paid for, will I still get to redownload them at no cost?

Does anybody know if flashing the stock 2.0.1 also re-flashes the original baseband? If not, a sharp-eyed tech at Verizon will know.

I guess one way around that would be to also flash stock OTA 2.1, which also brings in the stock .03P baseband.

Most of the techs are probably on this site or other sites and rooted as well. I would take them off to be safe put droid mod even on your sd card. Yes you get all your paid apps back. You log into your gmail account and bam! I have reset my phone two times or so now and sometimes once you log in after getting it set up you will be able to see what you downloaded for free as well but some are missing so maybe make a list cause i know i forget sometimes and Ill look for it one day and be like wtf my phone deleted an app? But yeah i mean android is open source i heard they cant technically give you a hard time about it but truthfully they reset all the phones anyway. ive brought my blackberry storm when i had it to get a new one and it had 5.0 months before release and the guy had no idea why my phone looked different but he didnt care when i told him.

i had this problem too, and i'm getting a new phone. i used the sbf to go to 2.0.1 then got the ota to get back to 2.1, so then the baseband and everything will check out correctly right?

I am not to sure about how the basebands and all that goes but i think if u go back to 2.01 then 2.1 offical it wont matter. They wouldnt go into the phone that deep to see that unless they saw a large number or phones returned that they knew were rooted or hacked. Even then some of the verizon techs are so far out in left field it is unbelieveable my 5 year old cousin could probably do a better job. No disrespect to anyone on that

So I went back to stock 2.0.1 from droidmod and now i don't have the "market" app installed on my phone. what happened?
