About LinkBacksI am on ota 2.1 and I am thinking about doing on one of the update.zip that allow you to overclock. My question is should I backup first, and if the answer is yes what should I use?

04-21-2010 06:49 PMIf you are not rooted you do not have an option to do a nandroid backup.
Are you rooted?
If not, how do you want to proceed? RSD Lite or what? I mean...to use an update zip you'll need SPRecovery. To have SPRecovery you'll need soem level of root access.
If you are rooted and have SPRecovery installed, just download the kernel and change the name to update.zip...place it on your SC Card root directory and run SPRecovery as stated above.

Also...you need the SPRcovery and root to be able o install with the update.zip. The stock recovery will reject the file as it won't have the correct checksum in the file.
