yesterday i was up at 6am, and didnt go to bed til 1am. I use my phone moderately throughout the day and i still was in the green. Where i am located i have full signal all the time. and i also have my brightness turned down pretty low. and my screen timeout is set to 30 seconds. Maybe you have a faulty battery.

Haha, I hope none of you guys complaining about battery life is planning to get the Incredible because the battery life on that phone is far worse. 5.2 hours on 3g talk.. that's almost as crappy as the iphone. Come on HTC..

But rumor has it that HTC will be offering a 2150mAh extended battery for $60.

It's awesome that people promote REAL insurance fraud which believe it or not is just as illegal on a cell phone as it is with a car... Would you turbocharge your car then make it disappear because you blew it up?

Anyways though the insurance company isn't going to hit you for rooting your phone. So instead of raising my insurance rates why don't you just man up and be an ethical adult.

I cant believe how often I see people promoting theft by exploiting warranty, return, and insurance policies.
Yeah your right...the insurance companys don't make a profit of all of us at...you pay in case something happens....and I refuse to let a multi billion dollar industry of blood suckers dictate what I do with MY property or YOU for that matter so I appreciate your opinion but it doesn't change what I do with my things.
I don't mean to make this an ethical debate, but I have to agree with givemedew. Of course the insurance company has to make a profit in their business. They aren't running a charity. I sincerely understand your sentiment filthy1 and know there are more than enough cases of big corporations that fleece the average folks. However, I do not believe the solution to prevent average people from being exploited is to find ways to exploit the insurance company in return. That only escalates the problem as insurance companies raise prices to cover losses due to fraud and those people that play by the rules bear the burden.

If I may suggest a different tool to fight for fairness. If a company is indeed a "blood sucker" we can simply "fight back" with a more [edit]powerful[edit] force being our wallets and just not buy their products.

No one here is "dictating" to you, filthy1, what to do. Obviously none of us can force you to do anything and you can clearly do as you please with your property.

But I will put my (albeit small) voice behind givemedew and urge others to not resort to combating a wrong with an act of wrong in return...

    +1 givemedew
    +1 dr scrubs

Sorry, liars and cheats, but insurance fraud means YOU cost the REST OF us more money (aside from being unethical, unlawful etc.)

I'm wit the guys saying DON'T DO IT. If you screwed it up and don't want to fix it and want to claim it's "bricked' -- own up to it.

Thanks GiveMeDew and DrScrubs for calling it like it is.

    - System update say I'm currently up to date. Before I use to get the prompt to install the official 2.1 update until I followed this thread Blocking OTA 2.1 update kills battery life

    - Battery Usage says Android System is using 10-17% of the battery. All other use are in single digits.

    - Wifi, BT, GPS, SYNC is all off

I just don't understand whats boggin me down, I'm thinking of wiping and reinstall BB but before I do that, anyone have any other suggestions?
awsolot, I have been trying to figure out what drains batteries myself. I have read so many different opinions on this. Some people somehow get great battery life, claiming 24 hours+ between charges. Others say they last about 8 hours and even others are cooked by 3 hours.

Prevailing opinion is if you "cycle" your battery, it can help. Since you are rooted, SetCPU can help by underclocking when you are not using your phone such as when you are sleeping or maybe work. A few people love "Task Killers" but I have also heard that those things slow down your phone. I like System Panel. It gives a lot of info but doesn't auto kill apps. Spare Parts is another app you can use to find out what uses your battery. Maybe service is bad where you are at and your battery drains that way. Or you may have a bad antenna and that drains your battery. Spare Parts can let you know.

As for me I get about 8 hours on moderate use (as in it gets to about 20%)...so I bought a spare and a desktop charger for just the battery to swap out the battery if it dies when I really need the phone. I am giving the "cycling" a shot to see how that works. Since I am not rooted and don't really plan on doing that, I can't comment on that part. Good luck!

[edit]oops, you unrooted, so never mind the part about about SetCPU.[edit]
