i herd that rooted droids can be used as wifi hotspots. i am running ultimate droid, where do i get the wifi app?

I could be wrong but I think you're thinking of overclocking. The tethering does indeed need to be downloaded from the link you provided.

Try the "version" 5,6, or 7 for the best results. I actually have all three on my phone incase one doesn't work when I change ROMs.
