    Verizon Update Question

    I just recently rooted my droid, but have not made a nandroid backup or installed sprecovery any roms or anything else. Just rooted so the superuser app icon shows up. I just today got the notification from verizon to update to 2.1. I was wondering if it is safe to do the update as is, or do I have to unroot my droid in order for the update to install?

    I have not rooted... yet... but from everything I've read, it seems like most rooted users have gone back to stock for the update. Others have also said that the update won't take to the rooted phone either.
