Reverting to 2.0.1 after ota 2.1 update
Hi!
For anyone who may have, like me, made the rash decision to unroot their phone for the ota update, only to immediately regret it, and wants to go back, I followed the method here to flash the phone with the sbf and it went through without a hitch:
Droid 2.0.1 sbf file released!
After reverting back I was able to again root the phone and get the custom roms installed without any issues at all.

The 2.1 ota update removes root access which is unfortunately why this was necessary for me. So yes, for me at least, I updated to 2.1 ota which got rid of my root access and nandroid as well, so I had to go back to 2.0.1 to get back to how things were.

Pete's posted a rooted version of ESE81, and t3hsteve has posted an uppgrade.zip file that only updates the baseband radio file from. .01P to .03P without touching root, data, apps, etc.

Let me see if I got this straight. I was thinking of trying to root my droid, but I was going to wait for the 2.1 ota update to see what it was like. If I get the update then I can't root my phone without going through this process? If I root before I get the update ajnd put on the 2.1 update file rom to force the update will that remove root access also? Or its it just a matter of time before the have the necasry software to root the ota 2.1?

i get the rsb lite open but it doesn't detect my droid
Phone now: OG Motorola DROID
Next phone: Motorola DROID BIONIC, or DROID 3 if it has LTE

Tablet computer: Motorola XOOM

I've not used RSD because I was already rooted and did not install the new update from VZW and I use a Mac which, for now, we've not been able to find a way to run RSD on.
I read the thread in the OP Droid 2.0.1 sbf file released! Not use if this is the problem but look at number 41.
I'm going to search for some additional info.
