Teathering with proxoid

I want to try using this for gaming on my PS3 soooo bad but I'm afraid I'll get in trouble since my last bill showed that I used about 4.5gb with no tethering whatsoever

Don't worry too much, everyone. I came from the Alltel side and this was a standard feature called Internet Sharing. It was damn easy since it was an integral part of the system; they had an app for that. I asked several customer service reps before turning in my old HTC from Alltel. The typical answer: no problem, use the USB cable and it's the same.

I am still reading up on how to do it with the Droid, going to proxoid way as described. I just read through all the posts and am replying before gittin-r-done.

right click my comp>manage>device manager> right click the A855 and select update driver software.

This doesn't appear on my device manager. Do I need to uninstall the existing drivers?

I was turned on to tethering via PDANet, but now I am getting messages about PDANet not allowing connection to secure sites, are there any that do?
