    Rooting and Google GPS App

    If I root my phone will I have to re-install my apps? The reason I ask is that I really like the Google GPS app that was installed on my phone when I got it, and I'm not sure how I would get it back.

    I believe the first time you root you will have to reinstall your apps. Its been awhile since I rooted so I'm not 100% on that though. If you are talking about the google maps app you will still have that. It comes standard with all phones, and every rom that I've seen. If for some reason you dont have it you can download it from the market as well.

    That's exactly the one I'm talking about. The navigation app that uses Google maps. Cool, thanks!
