If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

Just for kicks, try flashing one of these 2.1 SBFs: my custom bootlogo .sbf's.

They are from boostdscoob over at alldroid. I have never had a problem with any of them. It may not be the exact boot logo you want, but you can at least try and get your Droid running at this point.

Don't go backwards man. 2.0 seriously? While you're at it, maybe you can find a 1.6 SBF to try out as well.

I noticed a few apps I paid for missing as well when I flashed a generic SBF. Throw a ROM on top and see if it updates your market. Do you have a Nandroid you can restore to once you get the SBF loaded?

Did you ignore all the warnings to back up your phone before you started all this rooting and flashing?

well there was nothing about backing up in this particular thread, and most of the important stuff is already backed up to my gmail acct. dont get me wrong the phone is working fine, i just would like to go back to stock and thought the process would be easy to reverse but with the stock sbfs not wanting to load or activate im kinda stuck

reason why is there is no way to back up when using the rsdlite method which is adviced against if you download Droid Mod Updater off of DroidMod.org it will root and install the recovery system for you then you can flash a nandroid off the offical ese53 update or a rom flavor of your liking BB SS UD SG are all based on ESE53
For Android news, updates, links to roms and more check out http://www.tekhawk.com

And for news on my future Launcher themes once I find the time to start theming them again.
