    Droid mounts, prepares SD card, then unmounts!

    It's getting very annoying. My Droid will mount when I click mount, then say "checking/preparing SD card for errors", then it will unmount. I cannot access the SD card at all, and I've tried auto mount apps.

    It does that to me sometimes too... I just keep trying and it sometimes works...

    I had that same problem with my first droid. I got a warranty replacement and it hasn't happened since. I'm pretty sure that the usb port was defective. I tried using 3 different cables on two computers so I'm pretty sure it was the port. I would have vzw send you a replacement phone if you can't figure it out.

    This happened to me after formatting a corrupt card. I plan on swapping the card (just happened last night) but here is a temp workaround.

    -Plug in DROID (do not yet mount)
    -Open to Windows Explorer
    -Select new drive
    -When message is displayed saying to 'insert disk' then mount SD on DROID
