Noob: trouble with update.zip files

Hmmm, definitely the correct file. Very odd issue. If the download was corrupt it would usually say installation aborted, but just for ****s and giggles how big is the file?

He linked the file he actually downloaded, that link goes straight to an update.zip, the correct one....but don't know if he downloaded it fully or not. If he had a corrupt or shortened download he should get an install aborted error...

That is the name of the update and the size of the file.

I got it from alldroid. I don't know what else I am needing to give you guys...I'm confused. I wish I knew more.

Hence the reason why I'd like to crack the update.zip open and see what it really is.

Ok, do you have adb installed on your machine?

adb shell
cd /sdcard
ls -l >dir.txt

Then go onto your sd card, grab that file (dir.txt) and attach it to a post.

To OP,

It seems like you have more than one update.zip file in the root of your sd card. You need to either delete or move to a folder all the update.zip files other than the one you are trying to install.
