    Lightbulb Official 2.1 Update / Video on rooting

    I woke up this morning contemplating rooting my droid only to open droidforums.net to see the update about the official 2.1 release. I've also read that if I wait for the official release and download it, I won't be able to root once the new software is on it. Any truth to this?
    I've also found these tutorials on how to root on youtube and was wondering if anyone could tell me if this guy knows what he is doing or if there is a better video out there.





    I am really interested in rooting I'm just a little scared about the steps and would like a comprehensive video to guide me along.
