    Do you need the Facebook app to sync?

    Pete removed the Facebook app from his latest BB build but when i checked my sync the Facebook one was missing...so is it possible to sync without this app and free up memory? I don't use the app at all since it sucks so I just log on through the browser.

    Don't think it's possible to sync contacts and such without the stock app. In fact, this was causing boot loops for people that had a sync set up prior to changing ROMs. They would go to accounts and sync, but with no facebook app, the phone would restart.
