BRICKED! Tried to restore back to my Bugless Beast using rom manger...

Go to the link I posted, grab the recovery file, put it on the root of the sd card and use terminal emulator comands to flash.

Thanks! I've got SirPsychoS's running now. Just rebooted into recovery to make sure. Creating a backup of CyanogenMod in case I decide to play with it later.

So...was the problem a clash between the two different recoveries? Because I used ROM Manager, which installed clockwork for me to backup my rom, then attempted to use ROM Manager/clockwork to reinstall that rom...I'm having trouble grasping where the issue actually lies...

I think its an issue with two different roms both created completely different from each other.

It doesn't have anything to do with the ROM specifically. It has to do with the fact that ClockworkMod Recoveries and SPRecoveries are not compatible with each other. This being the reason that you had to flash ClockworkMod to begin with. Koush's ROM was only compatible with ClockworkMod and not SPRecovery.

So, to go back to a previous setup after going to CyanogenMod, you would need to reflash SPRecovery first then restore backup of whatever it was you wanted.

Just like I would have to reflash Clockwork if I wanted to go back to CyanogenMod from say..BB. Unless of course in between I make an SP Recovery..

It just has to do with the way that the updates are structured they are different. I (think) it was said that SPRecovery uses .tar files for system, etc. and Clockwork uses something else.

Restoring my previous nandroid of bb, which isn't QUITE everything I liked the way I wanted it, but it'll definitely get me there....

I got that same static M trying to restore BB after backing it up using Clockmod recovery. Very weird issue.
