    Exclamation Booting to SPRecovery?? **ANSWER NEEDED ASAP**

    I made a nandroid backup after I rooted and put SPRecovery on and all that jazz.. Now I'm trying to install Smoked Glass. I need to boot to SPRecovery again but it keeps booting to the Android Recovery file...

    How can I get it to boot to SPRecovery SirPsycho or whatever again?

    PLEASE ANSWER QUICKLY! Thank you.

    Quick! Turn off your phone, then slide out your keyboard and turn on your phone again while keeping the X button pressed.

    If that doesn't work, are you sure you have sprecovery installed?

    Oh... trust me it's installed. And yeah that's the whole point of my problem to be honest. It wont boot to SPRecovery after the x+power button reboot. It boots to "Android Recovery [2e]"

    I bet you don't have SPRecovery installed. Anytime I boot into recovery it is SPRecovery mode. What rom did you install the first time?

    Its installed I went through the most frustrating process possible to get it installed... it HAS to be installed. I haven't even installed a ROM yet I just went through the process of backing it up.

    I was about to work on getting Smoked Glass V5.0.1 on. I have the zip file on the root of my sdcard but since its not even booting to SPRecovery there's no point in trying I guess....

    Well that can't be right, are you sure you backed up before using Sprecovery? The black screen with the blue text?

    You could try downloading the DroidMod installer and re-install the recovery image that way, see if it works

    Will Smoked Glass still work with the DroidMod app? I've heard every ROM doesn't work with DM...

    No, use the DroidMod app just to install sprecovery again.

    Or if you're tech savvy enough, (simple process really) download the recovery image file from recovery-0.99.3b.img

    Copy that .img file to your memory card's root.

    Connect your phone to your PC, fire up adb, then type in the terminal without quotes :

    "su" press enter
    "flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-0.99.3b.img" press enter
    "reboot recovery" press enter

    That should do it.

    Also where do I even find the DroidMod App... I feel like that's just a waste of time since I already went through this whole process of rooting and installing SPRecovery manually with the command prompt.

    All u need DMUpdater for is to flash recovery, u don't have to install their ROM..
