Booting to SPRecovery?? **ANSWER NEEDED ASAP**

Getting sprecovery installed shouldn't be a frustrating process. I got rooted and had it installed within 10 minutes using the first link in my signature. Droidmod's dmupdater will get it installed very simply as well.

You could try installing it again.

Yeah I'm gonna try to start all over again. Should I follow the "Unroot..." link in your signature? Or should I just do a factory reset?

Just download http://downloads.droidmod.org/dmupdater-10.apk

put that in your sdcard, install with astro. Then follow prompts onscreen or read up from one of the many guides on these forums

These 2 files go in the root of your sdcard:

flash_image
SPRecovery 0.99.3b

These are the correct commands:

adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/flash_image of=/data/local/flash_image
chmod 755 /data/local/flash_image
rm /sdcard/flash_image
su
/data/local/flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-0.99.3b.img
mount -o remount,rw /dev/null /system
mv /system/recovery-from-boot.p /system/recovery-from-boot.p.bak
mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak
reboot recovery
(Commands in red may get errors but its fine)

As the others said, no need for a reset just get sprecovery into place and you'll be good to go. But..do it quickly

dmupdater will get you sprecovery. You can then follow the SG instructions. Or use the links in link 1 to get sprecovery installed. ADB shell isn't required if that's the part you got stuck on.

I followed link 1 in my sig to get rooted and sprecovery, then moved to link 2 to get SG 5.0 installed. I was going to go with BB but feedback at the time made me go to that. Been happy with it so stuck with it.

You don't have to install DroidMod man, just use the app to flash the recovery image for you. Hell even if you do install DroidMod, you can install Smoked Glass over it, real simple, just follow instructions on the dev's thread.

BTW, Smoked Glass 6.0 ought to be out any moment now, it's ESE53 based (2.1) meaning its rad.

As the others said, no need for a reset just get sprecovery into place and you'll be good to go. But..do it quickly
