another nandroid question, sorry

not sure if its been asked because i cant seem to find the exact answer im looking for. .

but im currently updating petes 2.1 rom from v6 to the new v7 . . . now with the nandroid file he put out with that,,,correct me if im wrong,,,, i unzip, put in nandriod under a folder related to this rom, reboot phone into sprecovery do a nandroid backup first, then reboot into sprecovery, update.zip (rom), the reboot, then do a restore of the nandroid?

if your updating from v6 to the new v7 then you boot into recovery do an advanced nandroid backup (make sure everything is checked) then go and do the update.zip method of updating your rom.

-Place update.zip on the root of sdcard
-Reboot into recovery
-Install
-Allow update.zip installation
-Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)
-Enjoy!

make sure you renamed the the v7 to "update.zip" and put it on the root of your sd card.

you dont need to do a nandroid restore at all UNLESS you have problems with the v7 in the case you would restore back to a nandroid thats more stable
