    Cloning Your Cell Phone

    I was wondering how to clone my cell phone so that I can keep my old cell phone in the car incase I forget my cell at home. I have been doing this a lot lately and I think it is my only option without paying money for another phone.

    So does anyone know how to do this?

    Very, very illegal. I don't know that you will be able to find help here for that.

    How is it illegal to extend my own telephone? It's not using double the minutes or data ect. I still pay for the plan. It's my phone number and I purchased both phones. How is this illegal?

    Yeah, you're talking about felony level federal charges.

    Why not just add a line to your account for $10/month? Or get a prepaid phone?

    Yeah, do prepaid and then use Google Voice to ring the same phones when someone calls.

    Very grey area on being legal....

    You can call VZW anytime to swap the phone if needed. Takes maybe 5 mins.
