Bootanimation...

This is a discussion on Bootanimation... within the Droid Hacks forums, part of the Droid Hacking category; So I changed my bootanimation a LONG time ago using adb...i just installed adamz droid customization rom.tgz and chose a new bootanimation and it didn't ...

    Bootanimation...

    So I changed my bootanimation a LONG time ago using adb...i just installed adamz droid customization rom.tgz and chose a new bootanimation and it didn't work, still the blue droid one i manually pushed a couple of months ago...same thing happened when i flashed droidmod 1.0. it was supposed to have a custom DM bootanimation and i didn't get that one either. Any suggestions?

    From what I have read, there are 2 places the phone can look for a boot animation. One from the system, one custom. The custom one always takes precedence. I believe AdamZ's mod replaces the system one, so your custom one is overriding it. You will have to remove your custom to get his.

    The "Stock" boot animation "bootanimation.zip" is in the system/media/ directory.

    If you care to override this you can put one into the data/local/ directory

    This will always take presidence..
