    Best rom for Droid?

My Droid is rooted on stock 2.0.1 with the 2.1 installable features, but I'd like either a Sense UI rom or a 2.1 rom or any really popular, fast, stable rom for everyday use. Hopefully not too complicated (I'm not the best with this stuff). Thanks!

This is a pretty open question. If you're new to Rooting, I'd advise you check out the DroidMod 1.0 application first.

I had DroidMod 1.0, I felt it was way too slow and Overclock Widget didn't work with it ;P

I've tried every ROM i come across and I can't say much bad about any of them. All of the very popular one's are very stable. If I do come across a problem a short search on this forum will usually fix it, and if I don't find that answer I will quickly get a response to any thread I start. I am currently running SmokedGlass v5.0 because i like the blue theme. I suggest trying any Rom you see that you might like. The worst case scenario(as long as you're smart and careful installing them) is you move on to another.

Agreed! It's quite snappy! If you like smoked glass, be sure to grab the theme he tweaked for use with it!

I'm using version .5 with AdamZ's 1.1ghz kernel and it is incredibly fast! I would definitely recommend it. I came from BB 1.1, btw.

I basically mentioned DroidMod because of ease of use, which was one of your concerns in your original post. I found out last night how to use DroidMod and boot into recovery and install different ROM's. Very very simple to do. I wasn't advocating using the 1.0 DM ROM.

    Bugless Beast v0.4

After 9 months, I've finally got the guts to root my Droid. I installed Petes Bugless Beast V0.4 and it flies! So much better than the stock ROM.

I used Clockwork recovery to install it, and it couldnt have been easier.

    I'd start there...
