An Interesting Observation...

I was running DroidMod and overclock to 800 mhz, and temp monitor was picking up around 120 F pretty regularly. I went back to stock with no root and did a factory reset, (not just wipe data). Then I went back to DroidMod and overclock to 800 mhz. The temp has been significantly decreased since doing this. This might work for any ROM that is running the cpu a bit hotter, I don't know. I thought I'd post this one here for people to see if it helps other people at all.

So you are recommending a nandroid data/cache wipe and cache partition wipe as being different from a factory wipe?

Yes I went from one rom, to stock, factory reset, then back to same rom. Before this I have used a lot of different 2.1 roms and 2.0.1 roms. So I don't know if there was extra stuff just interfereing or what was going on.

Would you ever do the nandroid WIPE before any of those ROMs?

I did use the nandroid wipe every time I switched to a new ROM.

Thank you......I like some ROMS myself...except for the fact that some of my temps are a little higher than my baseline ROM.....
