[Metamorph Theme] High Res Blue

Attached is a metamorph theme I put together from various sources. They are high res images and are a nice replacement for the stock ones. Obviously it is based on blue, but it has some green thrown in.

Some of these I made with images I had or found, and some I pulled from other themes. Sorry for not giving credit where it is due but I forget where each image I had came from since I pretty much have folders of everything and build what I'm going for from scratch.

I know the majority of the status bar icon replacements were from the Simply Stunning ROM.

Just figured I would share since the stock ones can be kinda plain.

EDIT 3/4: Ok, I have a nice version working right now. The images have been sized and edited to go together, there is an entire new set of emoticons and some other new goodies. This may or may not work with metamorph. Mainly, if you are using the ERE25 or any other 2.1 based ROM use the instructions provided to apply this.

In command prompt in your android-sdk-windows/tools use this command:

adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk c:\users\name\dekstop

Next, right click on the file you pulled on desktop and in the 7zip menu hit open archive. Next, open the res folder. Now, drag the drawable-hdpi that you extracted from my zip in to the 7zip open archive window. And do the same for drawable-land-hdpi. Finally, close the open archive window and move this file in to your android-sdk-windows/tools folder.

Back in command prompt, make sure you mount your system partition using root explorer or another method:

adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/

Now reboot your phone

Did you use MM to edit the stock icons for the battery and signal strength? I DL'ed MM over the weekend, so I still have a lot to learn about it. I would love to swap out the bland icons from stock.

You don't actually do any editing in MM. Metamorph is used to push the images in to their proper .apk's in /system/app of the phone. When you download this zip file and unzip it in to your sdcard/androidthemes folder on your SDcard, Metamorph will pick it up and you can apply all the images here. But you won't actually edit the images in Metamorph.

I got an error in MetaMorph about a missing or invalid theme control file. I DLed the attachment above from my Droid right into the SD/androidtheme folder. When I went to pick it and unzip, I got the error.

It came down as a ZIP file. I can see it in there.

The theme looks great, but sorry to do this, why does it come out as a .php sometimes? It's really annoying

Is there a way to add the notification icons and keep the launcher2 I currently have?

Those icons are my work. ChevyNo1 put my icons in the SS rom. You can view the complete topic in my signature if needed. I like your theme you put together.. I may have to try it out.. =)

Yea it's easier to unzip it to a folder on your computer then move the entire folder to your androidthemes folder on SDCard. Then when your in metamorph hit existing themes and choose the Custom.THM file in there and apply the ones you want manually, works much better.

And yes, to keep your launcher, just use the method I said above and do everything EXCEPT the launcher.apk patch. The framework-res.apk which includes the notification icons doesn't affect the launcher tab at all.

Ahhhh there he is, thanks man you gotta wonder why Moto didn't make the notification icons high-res to begin with if the phone is capable of doing it with no side effects whatsoever. I did change some of them around including the SDcard stat notifications and some others. and signal strength, obviously, I'm pretty happy how it all turned out, looks amazing applied over top of the smoked glass theme.
