Restoring Apps after 2.1 ROM Upgrade

Ok, so i went from BB 2.0.1 to Simply Stunning 1.25GHz ROM today (Highly recommended) I did a nandroid backup first... SS loaded and had to wipe cache and data...

Signed back on my existing google account expecting it to re-sync with my purchased apps (so i dont need to buy them again) It never did.. A member mentioned pulling my app data out of my existing nandroid backup... I found the app data in the data folder in both the nandroid backup and my phone (using root explorer)

My question is which folders do i need to push? just 'app' or 'app-private' both? do i need anyother folders?

Can i merge the 2 folders? or do I need to pull and push each apk separate?

Still pretty new to this so some coaching would greatly help.

How many apps are you looking to restore? You should try to list out the apk's in those folders that you'll need. You don't want to restore the entire /data as it has many other things besides apps. This especially applies because you're moving between 2.0.1 / 2.1.

So you definitely want to copy each one individually. At least that has been my experience.

i only have about 4 paid apps

Slimeball Speedway
Robodefence

Anything i can do about the items in HRB3D? is there another file that has my items saved? the ones i can re download easy enough... but id like to restore my acar profile... i had a lot of data saved in there keeping track of my MPG..

Also, would i need to push and sync using ADB? or can i manually move the apk using root explorer?

Not likely, app data isn't stored within the apk.

App data is typically stored in /data/app/*appname* ... in there you'll usually find a lib directory, sometimes a files directory, and usually a shared_prefs directory. That one is usually key. That's where Robodefence's files are kept, which hold your score, level, everything!

Got the apps running, however i cant get ExZeus running... it keeps giving me a 'security check failed' dialog...
