Cant Tether

Rooted my phone couple days ago ...Was using internet fine but now it wont connect says on CPU no root detected I even updated shouls to .6 also says read only file.can any give me insight on what might be wrong >

I have two suggestions:

1. Root permissions on my phone have always been due to busybox getting whacked by a new rom. The solution, on my droid, has always been to chmod busybox:

Go into Terminal Emulator and:

SU

chmod 755 /system/xbin/busybox

reboot

If that doesn't fix it for you -

2. Go here and download the latest version of the WiFi Tether for Rooted Phones file: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list


I do need to point out that these were fixes I used on various Bugless Beast roms.
