AdamZ custom kernel (2-16-10) cpu temps & setcpu works

today AdamZ came out with a new custom kernel.

It has...

- OC (of course).. 250, 400, 550, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, and 1100... I don't like it... but I may be persuaded to add 1200 later... 1300 just isn't stable.
- Processor Temperature Notification (for use with the TempMonitor App on the Market)
- All the wifi tether goodies included...
- Nand prefetch to increase speed
- The Brightness and Touchscreen fixes from the 2.6.32 kernel (thanks to t3hSteve for posting the patch!)
(This means the multi-touch and the auto-brightness issues are corrected)
- And i'm sure more that I can't think of... my brain is kinda fried right now. And lack of sleep is getting to me...

i have it on my phone along with Bugless Beast version 7.5. just put it on about 15 minutes ago and everything seems to be working fine. i have cpu temps and setcpu seems to be working. so everybody with BB 7.5 that wants the cpu temps again can flash this onto their phone and have cpu temps and setcpu working 100%.

SWEET, I wonder if Pete has seen this... he needs a better kernel for his 2.1 ROM (the original he had lacks steps and CPU temp). Good find.

all is good so far. haven't noticed any bugs yet. setcpu works perfect(actually goes into the charging profile when it should), wifi works, wifi tether works.

Cool, if you get around to trying Pete's new 2.1 ROM let me know if this kernel works. I won't be able to flash till this weekend. If this works with that new ROM this sounds like a GREAT combo.

there is a guy that posted in that thread on alldroid that said he applied it to pete's 2.1 rom and he says "it seems to work fine".

yeah saw that, thanks. Hopefully by this weekend Pete will get a few of the bugs ironed out (like the auto-brightness ect.).

Anyone post some noob instructions on how.to add this to BB? I hate the current kernal it has on screen keyboard lag. I'm running the new one on sholes but I'd rather have it on BB. Thanks.

i hear ya. i would switch to his new 2.1 rom but i have everything i want with 7.5. one of my favorite things about his 2.0.1 roms is the smoked glass theme and the new 2.1 rom has the old regular theme.

honestly i am getting a bit tired of all this switching of roms and kernels and such. i am just hoping this new kernel works fine. if so, then i won't be doing anything else until something major comes out.

Going to try this on Simply Stunning Rom. I'll check back with you guys to see how it runs.
