Droid - when will it run Windows Phone 7 Series

With Microsoft's official announcement of Windows Phone 7 Series today, I was wondering if we would ever be able to run that OS on the Motorola Droid hardware.

When I had a WM phone (ATT Tilt), I could use HARET to run the android software. Does anyone think we would ever be able to do the reverse?

I suppose it would be possible to flash it onto the Droid if you were able to build the drivers into it...

While technically possible, I doubt you'll see anything worthwhile develop in this area, at least nothing stable/usable.

I miss my Tilt... loved my Tilt2 but AT&Ts service was just horrible

I never really got into running Android on it but I remember all the discussion(s) over on XDA. How was it (I remember they couldn't get a lot of things working, like the SD card).

Did you ever try the Phoenix ROMs? I ran their site (PDC) and was one of the lead testers for a while... I really wish our chef (ParelyP) would come to the dark side and start cooking Droid ROMs (or is this the light side, lol?).

guess my question is, why would you want to? Win7P looks horrible, boring and more closed than iPhone.

I think Windows 7 will run on Android when Hell freezes over. YMMV

I have to agree that WM 7 looks terrible. I can't imagine basing a phone OS on the Zune interface.

With my ATT Tilt, I was running Android and the only the wifi, GPS and Bluetooth didn't work. The battery life was awful and you pretty much needed to keep it plugged in constantly.

Have you guys ever played with the Zune HD interface? It's smokin' fast. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
