wifi tethering

I really want wifi tethering on my phone but I don't want to install a rom because I am a huge noob and don't think I could do it without messing up...(even though there are some pretty cool stuff on those roms) anyways...

I am rooted but have not done anything yet with my root (have that little ninja icon)

Noob or not it really isn't that hard to load a rom, just need to install busybox and sprecovery. If you would like I can guide you through it later tonight. Just Private message me.

If you use SholesMod Updater, it really is idiot proof. The app does everything for you- installs the code, runs the scripts, the whole works. All you have to do is tell it which features you want or don't want and it does all the heavy lifting.

sholes mod updater is the way to go if you are not overly knowledgeable. I know nothing and was able to root and flash a rom and have it all set up in about a half hour.

if you root, all you need is astro and DL the wireless tether file to your /sdcard, open it with astro and click install... no ROM necessary

Agreed...If I were you I would do as much research you can and just do it piece by piece. If you run into problems/questions we are here to help. If you are rooted then all you need to do is follow the very easy steps to installing sprecovery from lou's website here: Custom Recovery Image | Root Your Droid

Once that is done then do some research on doing nandroid backups and restores and you can install a custom ROM in 5 minutes.

P.s. Installing a new rom is easier than installing just the wifi tether. =)
