market & rename the Cameraclick.ogg To cameraclick.ogg.old &

Videorecorder.ogg to videorecorder.ogg.old

Hey Gang,

You can do this via an ADB shell or Terminal Emulator. Also remember to change /system to RW so you can write to it.
ADB shell
SU
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
mv /system/media/audio/ui/camer_click.ogg /system/media/audio/ui/camera_click.ogg.old

Hiya, complete novice (first time even mucking around with internal surgery). I jsut tried this in terminal Emulator. Simply entered the script above (except used added the letter 'a' to camer'a'_click.ogg where i presume it was mistyped?).

Worked well for turning sound off in camera, but it's left it inoperable now.

1) camera opens, but have lost all previous images and cant access gallery at all.
2) camera DOES take silent shot
3) camera 'locks' open and can't return to 'desktop', can't view image taken,, can't access menus etc. have to reboot phone to even operate it.

Is there any way to repair this, go backwards, undo it? As i said, complete novice, very little understanding of the processes but am a tinkerer hence gave it a try. Perhaps jsut a set of script if anyone with more than an ounce of know how more than me (none) could help?)
