    Overclocking Droid????

    Can i overclock my droid without installing a ROM? I am rooted if it matters.

    Yes. Just get a nandroid backup and Advanced Nandroid Backup and only select boot, or you can use ADB to push the file to your phone

    Crap, I can't remember where I saw the link last. I use bugless beast which comes with the latest 1GHz kernel.

    AllDroid - View topic - Droid is stable at 800MHz. Nuff said *950MHz, 1.1GHz added*

    Theres the boot.img and nandroid backups. I suggest SetCPU from market, its only a buck, but if you CANT pay, look for it on XDA's site. 1.1ghz and up can lead you into a bootloop, cause some phones cant take it, I recommend 1ghz.

    Here are the Taz kernels which are currently the newest and probably the best:
    AllDroid - View topic - [Release] TazKernel 1.3GHz and TempMonitor Reborn (02/06/10)

    They work with TempMonitor to display the CPU proc temp (unlike other's which rely on the Battery temp).

    Droid Root Pro now has a few overclocks 600 800 900 950 1 1.1 1.31 just DL it off the market
