    installing .apk files?

so i want to install the updated pandora file found on the first page in [Themed ROM] Smoked Glass w/ White Clock

i have the file downloaded. its named xPandora.apk.zip

do i just rename it and remove the .zip extension (without unpacking it) and load it on my sd card and use ASTRO to install it?

Try apps installer its free from the market. And yes all you have to do is change it to where .apk is at the end.

    go to your command prompt:

Start button --> Run --> cmd and hit enter
    go to the directory
    type "Rename xpandora.apk.zip xpandora.apk"

that's assuming your using windows and you know a little about dos commands.

windows doesn't use DOS like it used to back in windows 95, 98. windows now uses CLI (command line interface) and the command are different for CLI than DOS for the most part the majority of DOS commands wont work in CLI.
