root after 2.1...?

I am holding out on root to take a look at 2.1. I have been a Verizon customer since my first cell phone at 16. If Verizon does us dirty and take things out of the update would it still be possible for me to root? If so would I be able to just use bugless-beast or sholes or will have to wait for a new version of the software? Thank you in advance

Well, after 2.1 is released, trust me it will not take long for one of the devs to figure out the root access. They rooted the Nexus like weeks before it was even released! lol But I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, just do the update like normal whenever it comes to you, and check this forum constantly for news on rooting your Droid

thanks for the quick responce. I really hope Verizon does not take things out. I dont want to say im a verizon fanboy but they have never did me wrong.
