need help to extract Contacts from Droidx3, no back up, phone touchscreen is fried

The touchscreen on my x3 has suddenly stopped working, rendering the phone inoperable. I have never backed up my 300+ Contacts to Verizon or Gmail servers and I need to extract them from the phone. Three different so-called Verizon "techs" claim they can't access the phone to download the contacts without voiding the phone warranty. I have a new x3 and I couldn't care less about the dead phone's warranty. I am certain there is a way to access the phone and pull out my contacts. I don't care how it gets done, I NEED my Contacts. I am in the Los Angeles area. Can anyone here point me in the right direction to someone that can help me? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried hooking it up to a comp with the latest drivers and going into the int or ext SD card to get them?

I can connect it to my PC and access file folders but I don't see where the Contacts are stored. From reading on the net, it appears Motorola has designed the contacts to be encrypted somewhere on my phone. Where do I find them?

    None.

I read elsewhere that applying a magnet to the back of the phone may assist to bypass the frozen slidelock and at least allow the use of the slide out keyboard, but I tried several magnets with no results.

There HAS to be a way to locate the encrypted file and export it out of the phone for de-encryption.

Maybe there's a sequence of keys to bypass the slide lock? Do your capacitive buttons work?

I've hunted all over the web for an answer to that question. Many others have experienced the same problem with the frozen touchscreen and wanted to know if there is a slidelock bypass with a keyboard sequence.

Sorry, I don't know what capacitive buttons are.
