I have been trying to use my droid 2 phone with straight talk....can anyone please send me info on how to do it. I would really appreciate it. Thanks if u can please send me a message to my inbox, im new to the forums and all the times I look for this info I get lost with different posts LOL
Thanks a lot.
I can confirm that you can use a Droid based phone on St talk. How ever those of you wanting to use any type of Motorola phone it is nearly impossible to do because Motorola locks their phones down way to much to modify to correct files. I had my Sprint evo working on st talk and it worked just fine it was a little tricky to get data to work but it can be done. I'm not going to tell you how to do it because it might not be legal( Hint Hint). I can tell you google is your friend when it comes to this. Again if you trying to use a Motorola phone good luck as the box you need to use is in excess of $400 not worth the price.
someone please help
if i get an incredible 2 how do i get it to work for verizon prepaid
The good news is that most of the smartphones available on the market are made with the CDMA technology. This is one of the best technology to use because of how fast it is and how it helps to widen your range of cellular technology. The downside is that these are expensive. The upside is that you can purchase them at a discounted rate if they are unlocked.
After you have successfully unlocked the CDMA phone you will need to decide what cell phone provider you want to work with. Because you have unlocked it yourself you will have every option open to you and you will be able to control your plan in the best way that is possible.
Contact the customer service rep of that provider and make sure that they will be fine with the phone that you want to use. Sometimes they will not care and other times they will not allow it.
Give the cell phone provider the necessary information and choose a plan that you will be able to afford. Once it has been activated you will be ready to use it. Just make sure that you don’t do anything that will lock it.
What? Now Sammy's are locked tight but not the droid a855 I have full root_access I own 2 samsung phones that I cant root and the droid all it took was the z4 root app. I flashed in the clockworkmod through rom manager and root browser light not only gives me access to the sd card but the phones internal memory as well all the logs, configs, and cache files. I think Im done with this thread not one shread of good info after 6 pages. Droid is probably the easiest to flash in whatever you want especially with the clockworkmod recovery mode and with the rom manager app you dont even have to re boot into recovery you can install update.zip right inside the app! The droid is by far the most user friendly as far as rooting and trust me Ive played around with too many devices and the hardest kind of device to root is Tablets. Im using a GT7 2.3.5 (last OEM GB) and i havent tried rooting but read for days and came to the conclusion is cant be done. Gingerbreak sounds promsing but I wont risk it my tab is my only source of data and plus works great anyway and b4 you root you ask yourself if your happy with your device? I am, but the Droid displeased me with no screenshooting built in but a with in 2 hrs I was taking screenshots and if ya want proof go to my threads and youll see my droid screenshot andand if ya have the a855 you can verify it by checking out your UI and see if it matches.
