    Lost root access?

    I rooted my droid razr about a month ago with droidrazrroot.com and have been using the built in mobile hotspot app for free > thanks to sqlite. However i wasnt super happy with it because it was buggy and half the time said no internet access on laptop. So i downloaded a couple other hotspot apps that required root. No problem right? Well they all failed due to "no root access". I opened up superuser and adjusted settings to prompt or automatically allow access to apps. I am unable to make either work. Just automatically denied.i updated superuser and attempted to update the binary. It failed due to no root access....??? I downloaded universal androot and it confirmed i still have a rooted device. Any advice would be much appreciated. My phone did just update to android 2.3.6 last week. Could that have removed my root permissions without unrooting my device? I am still on stock rom btw. Thanks.

    Look in the razr section it explains it.

    Basically you lost root with the ota if you didnt run a roor saver. (Forget exact details but its over there)

    I have seen directions on keeping root and updating but no details on how to get it back if you updated first. Think otarootkeeper would be able to get permissions back for me?

    Yes i updated my phone before making preperations with otarootkeeper. Think that app could still get my root access back for me anyway?

    Actually i just attempted to restore root with otarootkeeper and it was just "denied superuser permissions". I cannot allow any apps su permissions so that app is useless to me. I really dont want to unroot and root again. Please help guys.
