ok just for clarification when i did step 1 through 26. what did i do?

    ps thanks everyone
Those steps allowed you to install the SPRecovery image, this is the key to getting those update.zips to work. People see the file named update.zip and don't realize to do the custom roms they need to have a custom loader.

HELLLOOOOOO DID EVERYONE MISS MY POST

this will fix the issue that isnt allowing you to install the update.zip
I saw this, but if it says that the signature is bad it usually means that they don't have SPRecovery installed, if it says the install is blocked it means you need to hit the allow button, at least that's been my experience.

dont have sprecovery, well wtf, i think that needs to be the first things they do, they need to worry about that instead of roms

No no no, SPRecovery does not cost money...I don't know what you think you downloaded but that's not right...

And this is RIDICULOUS. If you don't know what your doing, then don't do it! We are just gonna see a thread from you saying "Help! I bricked my phone! What do I do?" When you didn't even know what you did to your phone in the first place...these things are serious operations performed on your phone, and they can seriously damage it especially if you don't even understand what you're doing...come on. That is truly ignorance in every sense of the word...

Grab the beast update.zip and try it, if you don't get overclock you will need to do the advanced recovery which will mean wiping your data and cache. Just a heads up, if you do that you shouldn't lose any apps you purchased, at least for me it kept record that I had purchased them and let me redownload them from the market.

Be sure to do a backup just in case.

If you would just take the time to learn about these things and at least have a basic knowledge of these commands and hacks, then you would not be asking all these questions. Just EDUCATE yourself...this stuff is not that hard to find. ANYONE that is attempting to install ROMs, should already know that they have to have SPRecovery 0.99.2b installed prior to doing anything I thought. Its everywhere. Just look in the forums, there is information everywhere on all of this stuff, and the prerequisites for all of the procedures required to do these things.

Yeah, I want to try and help people, mostly because I don't want to see people posting "My phone is bricked, what do I do now?" etc... but I know I read up everything I could, had my phone rooted and my SPrecovery installed before I made an account here and all I did was lurk, read, and learn.

The thing people need to understand is there's no "magic trick" it's a bunch of steps and you need to follow them, everything needs to be in place or you're going to screw something up.

I'll continue to offer help when I can, but it all goes back to following steps 1-26 in the noob guide, so I guess maybe we can just call me a broke record after a while.

Are you rooted? To install the roms you should be rooted.

Edit: The beauty doesn't appear to have wifi tethering installed as previously stated.
best has a custom kernel which means it is not bugless, the beauty install means no bugs and no OC/tether. I run beauty and do the OC myself.
