    Problems installing Droid Root Helper

    When I try to install Droid Root Helper from the .apk file, I get an error saying that there is a "problem parsing the package". If I try to install it through Astro, it says that it "could not open DroidRootHelper.apk as APK file"

    I also tied using Linda, but I still have the same problem.

    I've tried downloading the .apk from a couple different sources and I always have the same issue...

    Anyone else have similar issues??

    When you download it is it a .zip file? If so make sure you are changing it to an apk file. If there is not extension displayed you may want to display extensions. I'm not sure if being improperly named would cause this problem, but that is the first thing that came to mind.

    Problem fixed. It was a problem with Bugless Beast 0.7.1. I updated to 0.7.2 and problem solved. APK installed without a hitch. There was a DroidRootHelper issue listed as one of Pete's fixes on 0.7.2.
