About LinkBacksA guy i know bricked his phone and doesnt have sprecovery installed. He can boot into stock recovery but the adb wont find device. Any ideas?

between these he'll be fine. He just has to get the files onto the SD card (he'll need to get an adapter so he can put the card on/in a computer to copy the files). As long as it can boot into the recover system you're fine (i.e. NOT bricked... wish people would stop using the term so loosely). Personally seeing as he got screwed up somehow he should just return to stock at this point until he has a better idea of what's going on. Then follow that site/guide STEP BY STEP and guide by guide...You are right to be wary. There is much bullcrap. Be wary of me too, because I may be wrong.
