Request for a NOOB challenge guide to overclocking

I keep seeing tutorials on how to overclock the droid to 800 and 600 Mhz. I keep seeing terms I don't understand like flash image and SPrecovery. I was just wondering if someone could point me to a tutorial to the following...

Overclock droid to 600 and 800Mhz
    Install SPrecovery and flash image
    Keep wifi working mabey?

All I have right now is set cpu and and I am rooted.

Any help/would be much appreciated, and when explaining things I'm a complete noob

Root Your Droid - The complete guide to rooting your Droid

    Go to Guides>Root

Look at the Root, busybox, and custom recovery guides. You should be all set from there. That's what I followed the other day to get Bugless Beast running and it all worked w/o a hitch. Very easy to do.

If you want to get SPRecovery and the overclocking kernels on your phone and are new to all of this, download DroidRootHelper from the market and it will do everything for you. I still suggest doing it without DroidRootHelper eventually because it forces you to learn.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. It will have and do everything you need to overclock as long as you are already rooted. I didn't use it to overclock, but the app looks to make things pretty easy.
