How do I go from liberty 2.0.1 to the newest version? (I'm New)

I have the OS: 2.2.1, I want to OTA, then get the newest version of Liberty (3 I believe). One more, how do I OTA? My dad's Droid X2 is a higher version, and Is it true that I have froyo?

Sorry I have a lot of questions, this is a lot harder than jailbreaking iDevices.

Well I guess you couldn't wait lol. Anyway I would say the best thing to do is grab the newest SBF. You can flash that with RSD Lite, then root using Pete's method, and then install the newest liberty.

Okay, I figured that I would get different answers if I posted it in 2 different forums but then I figured that may be against the rules like spam or something.

Use the 2nd link in my signature. If you burn the GB sbf disc, its super easy.

Sbf to GB, then root using the DROID 3 One click root, then install Liberty 3.

Going to close this one so we don't get confused with posts being in both.
