If you change your browser user agent to make it act like an android device they shouldn't be able to tell and you should get charged by your normal data plan
    Doh!

Ok, so are there any good writeups on how to change my browser agent? I'm already on Firefox on the Macbook Pro laptop.

The other thing.....is that I'm in the internet industry.....and have to use FTP every so often. Would that automatically get me busted if I download a few MB of files from the server?

How gestapo-esque is Verizon in cracking down on root-tetherers?

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...gent-switcher/

Just go to the firefox addon page click get addon or whatever and your almost good to go. Then you just change your user to android from the list.

Guess that depends on if your allowed to download from the servers or not.

Can't see it being a problem.

I'm not too familiar with verizon never used their services but I don't live in the states. But I can safely say most mobile companies are greedy. There's only one mobile network provider I will use here and that's 2 degrees.

Id never pay extra for a tethering option myself. I'm sure there will always be a workaround. Paying extra for tethering is unheard of around here as far as I know (nz).

I'm over in Los Angeles....and just noticed that I'm not getting a 4g signal anywhere I go. Anyone else have this problem?

Still having the same issue I had when the phone wasn't rooted.....4g on the Rezound just disappears in the L.A. area all of a sudden. It's then stuck on 1g, until I do a hard reset, then 4g reappears.

When's the next patch or whatever coming out for Rezound? This phone has some issues that are seriously hurting it.

    Hey.
I've got a rooted Rezound and am removing bloat.
I've got Titanium and have frozen a bunch of apps to make sure there isn't a problem before deleting.
I've frozen the stock Gmail app but it still runs and is taking up CPU resources and, needless to say, battery as well.

Does anybody know if there are negative repercussions to deleting this app altogether.

I'll be flashing a recovery here right quick so I can reinstall if I crash something.

    Just wondering.

    Thanks.
    B

Quick Question: Just got the Maxx, not rooted, have Firefox on laptop and could change to android mode I think, but will wife(sorry wifi) or cable enable me to get on internet without VZ knowing?
The links above only mention rooted phones. Thanks
    Now Hooked on Maxx
    Hooked on DROID
