Can I bypass the MD5 sum check, or can I somehow recover the original names?

I rename backups routinely. You need to make sure there are no spaces or unusual charactors. Use an underline or dash in place of a space.
Good luck.

Hmm, My names were just "Liberty" And "GB"... I'll try renaming to somethign else but I don't think I used any special characters.. Do I need to name them .zip or something?

The names need to be in the form of xxxxxx.zip. Also, were these backups made with Rom Manager? I don't think those can be renamed?? Not sure about that, but it is popping up in my brain.
