    Root Droid X2

    Hello all,

I use to have my Motorola Droid X2 rooted, but when I received an update I guess it over wrote it. I did it by just putting a one step file on the phone that basically did everything itself.

Can anyone here tell me an easy way to root it? I'm not the most experienced person with rooting so I'm looking for a way that is quite easy.

    Thanks!

It is a pretty easy process the only thing is you do require a computer, it is not as simple as an app you run from it. The method you need is the "D3 One-click Method." I realize it says for the D3 but that is just because they discovered the method there first, it works on Moto devices running gingerbread (the latest update.)

I also believe zerGrush works as well.
I know it does for 2.3.5 leak that was found and I think people on the IRC mentioned it worked for 2.3.4 also

The D3 method is easy enough as well

Never heard of that method. Will have to check it out because I know some Milestone users on 2.3.5 were looking to root so I am wondering if it will work on that as well.

    Hey Nemo,
If at any point you do try it out I would love to hear some feedback on it. Not sure that I am going to be trying it out any time soon since I have not been SBFing or flashing many ROMs lately, but I am curious to know about it.

O ok, my bad. From your comment about not trying it out I thought perhaps it was DX compatible. Whoops
