Thunderbolt new push out OTA October 28th 2011 - ROOT

So we all know VZW pulled the first 2.3.4 update. Well last night I update to the newly pushed out update. There are some changes to the software numbers and those go like this:

    Original update that was pulled:

    Software information

    Android Version
    2.3.4

    Sense Version
    2.1

    Software Number
    2.11.605.3

    Kernel version
    2.6.35.10-ge8d3693
    htc-kernel@and18-2#1

    Baseband version
    1.48.00.0906w_1, 0.01.78.0906w_2

    Build number
    2.11.605.3 CL147855 release-keys

    PRI Version
    1.41_002, 1.64_002

    PRL Version
    15044

    ERI Version
    5

    NEW UPDATE:

    Android Version
    2.3.4

    Sense version
    2.1

    Software number
    2.11.605.5

    Kernel version
    2.6.35.10-g00f8966
    htc-kernel@and18-2#1

    Baseband version
    1.48.00.0906w_1, 0.01.78.0906w_2

    Build number
    2.11.605.5 CL178661 release-keys

    PRI Version
    1.41_002, 1.64_002

    PRL Version
    15027

    ERI Version
    5

It looks like the only changes are to the software number, the kernel version, the build number and the PRL version.

Can this be rooted using the methods that worked with the previously pulled update or by a different method that already exits, or do we have to wait for someone to crack open this update?
Also, for the record...I have not had any issues so far with this update.

Question: For us folks already rooted, how do I get out of this loop from their forced update? I was sleeping from last nights shift and wake up to my phone stuck in this loop. Yay!!

No worries I fixed it. Still torqued they did a ninja attack on my phone while I was sleeping.

I am new here and new to rooting... I have Verizon Thunderbolt that is rooted with Revolutionary (about 4 weeks ago). It appears to be stuck in boot loop (phone boots for a minute and the reboots) and appears to try to install some VZW OTA firmware upgrade and fails... How did you get your phone out of the loop you were in? I am really stuck. Thanks.

*** Update -- I found a fix that worked for me here ->
How to Get Rid of OTA Forced Reboots on Rooted Phone

The first option did the trick. Hope this helps someone else.

Why stop at root? Flash some ROM goodness and bail the stock rom action...
Get more from your device and explore android at its finest!
You already did the hard part with root.
