    What I would do is simply wait until you have access to a PC. Chances are when you download the update.zip from the browser, that file can be changed or even corrupted rather than doing it on a PC.

    Also, since the previous zip installation failed, reboot your phone to see if it works. Hopefully you don't have a brick.

    this is true, this way isn't allways the best way, but it is the way I rooted my droid

    It didn't brick, I have been posting from my droid this whole time. I checked the zip file and for whatever reason, it was only 545k. I deleted it, re-downloaded and made sure it was the 10mb size, tried again and it worked smoothly. Thank you for all the help

    Wow, feel like an idiot I am new to the forums and I just noticed I could've attached the .zip file since I still have it on my sd card but no problem I'm. Always will to help in a subject that I know like the back of my hand

    Oh great! Glad to see it worked.

    Yeah like I said the file was most likely altered by the Browser application which is probably why it was only 500kb.
